If you are anything like us at Eating Adventures you probably like to plan well in advance for your next holiday. Many guests join one of our Eating Adventure tours as part of a longer trip. If you are going all the way to Asia, Europe or South America it only makes sense to take the more sustainable option, stay longer and travel in a more relaxed way.
Following Eating Georgia in May we are planning a little research trip to Svaneti, a mountainous region famed for its watchtowers and spring flowers. It is also known for Svaneti salt, a spice mix that includes blue fenugreek and dried marigold and is used to flavour just about everything. We are also partial to Kubdari, a flat bread filled with diced meats, herbs and chilli. On the way home we will spend time in Istanbul to see how the food scene has changed since we were last there.
Then in October we plan to explore the spa town of Borjomi, home to the eponymous mineral water which you see on most restaurant menus in Georgia. Following on from there we will take the train down to Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. It is shaping up to be a busy year.
